The wonder of

It seems to always amaze me when I begin to ask "WHY?"

The girls are growing so quickly. It seems like only yesterday the girls were born. Only a moment when the all began to laugh, smile, even cry with their first fall. The wonder of the girls in my life. The questions, "Mommy did you ever want a boy?" my response was always, "I have wanted a boy, however I LOVE THAT he gave us YOU!!! I'll get boys later ( ;-) ) in life" I Love each of them intensely. They are so uniquely different than another.

The wonder of Girls, is amazing. (Guys . . . I empathize with you.) Change of minds, swings of moods, some are flashy, some are quiet. Some are so incredibly amazing at what they see, hear and do all at the SAME TIME. Some are so mysterious it is fascinating. I know that I am a "girl" however, I have been learning so much while trying to raise five of our own. I have been stretched in so many ways that it has created an awareness of the awesomeness of the Lord.

The wonder of Girls ebbing and flowing like the tide. As different as the colors of the sky. Amazing to view like the sunsets and the sunrise. Some refreshing as a cool breeze, some as bright as a sunny day, some as soothing as a soft rain, some as some as quiet as the soft whisper of the wind, some as fresh as a crisp drink of water from a stream, some as joyful as a bubbling brook running through the mountains, some as melodic as the birds singing in the spring. On and On the story goes. The wonder of Girls . . . a moment of pause. Captivating as they walk with the Lord. Rich with the tenderness of realness like a kiss on the forehead. The wonder of girls, my girls I am blessed five times over to sit in wonder of girls.

Barriers

So many times when plans are depending on the weather, one can not be surprised at the risks that are at stake. The stake that creates one to go forward with intended plans. It is the thrill of the moment to awake and trudge forward when the dreariness in the skyline really needs to be with the kiss of warm from the sun and the soothing breeze across your face yet at that very same moment of reality slaps the flesh back to realization with the wet splash of rain and the loud roll of thunder after a huge crackling awakening every sense with awe.

An awe that gets the dermis to react the way one gets goosebumps when the rush of adrenaline runs forward stimulating every sense to run at mock speed yet with caution that would say slow down before you hydroplane. See the joy came when looking out around me and enjoying the ride out to the destination of our operation . . . looking for land marks and reading the odometer when arriving at destination about a 7.5 miles out. Breath taking location!

Joy at the fullest. Yes amongst the trees, slow drive through the canopy of creation . . . the soft fall of the rain and then the deep crack of thunder only to discover it was the "air-show" preparing for the performance May 1 & 2. The sound barrier was broken! WOW! The air crafts . . . . Amazing! LOUD! Perfect timing.

Then came the reality of the tasks at hand. Breath taking. Sweet melody of the patter of rain upon the pond. Classical music, the heaters rolling and the lights shimmering, table set. Ready for the event. The sound barrier? No longer broken but ~ Soft, memorable, and ethereal.

Reflection in another's joy

SO Today is another day and the scene is picturesque. Makes me reflect today. As chit chatting with another mom so thrilled for her little girl "LAUREN" turning 22 today. We smiled and for just a moment be mind slipped into a rewind mode.

The giggle of our littlest blessing toddling in circles and laughing and allowing to recall what brought us here to the place we call "HOME."

Yes My little Emily was the age Hadassah is NOW when we moved here and it made me in a sweet way wish I could start all over there again. Yet there have been to many deep wounds that have taken place in the past nine years. However in the midst of those storms came HUGE BLESSINGS that wouldn't have taken place had these years since November 2000 had been non existent. Okay so this place now called 'home' is my history. One that has cured my love relationship with the one who matters the most very real.

So as I watched Hadassah 'dance' while Pam reflected her joy for her daughters' birthday I came back to the moment, took a deep appreciative breath and listened to her joy which gave me a smile. Pam's joy became my joy. Her thanksgiving gave me a chance to realize how sweet my history gave the exuberant joy of realizing that Life is full of rainbows that come after or even during the storms in this tapestry we call LIFE. With my true Love at my side LIFE is a win ~ win!

Today is a picturesque - and I LOVE IT!
