But a moment

The cool crisp air

The warmth of the oven as the door opens
while oozing out the sweet smells of a fresh baked chocolate cake
the fresh pot of coffee fragrance wafts the room
as the aromas touche all the senses . . .
The beaters whizzing while the mixing bowl swirls 'round n 'round
ummmmm . . . sweet memories made

The door bell rings
Haddy giggles and clings to my legs
the patter of footsteps

a pleading voice to be held

A friendly smile
eyes that glisten with joy
chubby little fists that grasp firmly, lovingly,
smooth hands that lift her up
up, up . . . awww
a hug than a kiss that greets her
For now she knows - LOVE
the touch of a mothers' heart . . .

All but a sweet moment

"Bethy" . . . now a mommy herself.

"Auntie Joan" and HB enter the room
the heart beats with joy and ache to hold him
a quick change, the mixer stops the finished sweet smooth icing.

Two cups of coffee poured . . um m m m . . .
more sweet memories to cherish I get to finally hold him!

Lay him upon my chest over my heart . . . heart to heart
he slumbers and smells so, so, so wonderfully fresh
and his skin so soft . . . to caress him so gently
patiently gingerly soaking the three generations in
to the corners of my souls keepsakes.

To Love him, to squeeze him . . . to simply cherish him.
To wrap my arms around him with such awe and wonder

Bethy's . . . baby boy . . . Henry Boyce
and Hadassah Roses' desire to . . .
"I waaaant to Luuuuve him, I waaaant to graaaaab him, I waaaant to hooooold him"

We Loved every moment with all three of you,
even though it was but a moment!

We Love You!

Whom?

"Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than ANYTHING on earth. My health may fail,, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine FOREVER." Psalm 73:25-26

"Anything" and "forever" are very poignant because they are so vast. Like the cool wind blowing upon the flesh in a warm days sunrise. Feeling every hair on the largest cell - the dermis; not visualising the breeze directly however the effects are all around you, the dark brunette amber curly locks waving about the face and the goosebumps raising and falling like a child playing hide-n-seek.

Anything can be just about everything. There is nothing on earth, absolutely NOTHING more precious to me than HE is! I've learned no matter how much I Love another human being, He is still much greater. He breathed into existence all living things. The creator of all things, gave those wonderful people as a gift to my fancy, although I try to love them more than possibly imaginable, He is capable of actually granting compassion to them way beyond my comprehension.

Forever - WOW! Can I even wrap my mind around that one? NO! Forever that is how long he has known me - Before I even came to be and long after leaving this earth ~ that is his Love for me. Although I do not deserve it - He does not stop loving me! My heart beats for him with a rather strong beat, trying to pump a fresh new strength throughout every cell in my being! Forever mine, Forever yours, FOREVER!!!

New steps

So the morning goes by and we begin with the Morning Devotions sitting around the table.

The Devotions are given every morning but what makes it fun is that the girls all share one day. What a joy that has been. Mya Mondays', Tia Tuesdays', Wednesdays' - me, Thursdays' Emily and Faith Fridays'. Saturday (on your own thoughts) and Sundays' the Man PREACHES to us all ;-). Monday through Friday Kent leads us in worship and it really is a treat to hear all of the family singing in harmony - even "Haddy" (who by the way LOVES music)!

Speaking of Haddy singing & moving; she is like the wind lately, 9 months old and she is now totally mobile! She crawls, pulls up - and walks around furniture, now thanks to her oldest sister she began climbing up . . . STAIRS - YIKES!!!! This last week she seems to have mastered all of them rather quickly. I'm okay with her wanting to "walk solo - later" just because I am savoring the moments of the lasts of the "firsts".

Her wee little steps has made me reminisce the past wee steps of all the girls and how grateful I am to be able to praise the King of Kings for Life! Life granted from Heaven for five girls to be in our home. Five beautiful girls . . . preciously given to me when I really don't deserve to have them. I know each of the new steps in the season they are in, are to prepare them for what lies ahead in their futures. From Hadassahs' firsts this past nine months to Myas' over the last 17 years, they are all prayed over - each and every step. New steps for each of them because none of them are the same. STEPS ~ None of them will take them down the same road but all of them are to Glorify the Lord and bring Praise to him with each new step. Some hard steps and others a bit easier, however the steps that effect us individually or as a whole they are our steps of choice.

Kent and my steps have made us who we are together as ONE and individually. I am just grateful that the good Lord of my life gives new steps each and every day to take and many of them are in FAITH yes our walking steps.

Where are your New Steps taking you today?

ps Haddy's taking the picture - JK! She is sleeping in the bleachers.

Take Two . . . Three . . . Four

"Haddy" doesn't realize it's herself!
"Where is
she at Hadassah?"

Hadassh tried to shake her hand and be polite.
She blew her kisses and then tried to even greet her with
HOLY KISS but she left! :-?
