walking

So much has happened in my life over the years. Recently, Kent and I have been enjoying one an other's company while walking. The weather has been so very refreshing. Breath taking as a matter of fact, and invigorating with the stroll down the walk way. The tunnel of trees, the reminder of life as we pass His creations, the sound of summer, others enjoying physical exertions for various reasons known only to them. Ummmmmm, deep breath in and exhale. Sometimes it is just the two of us, other times we are strolling Hadassah in her stroller and a few times some of the other girls have joined us. The common denominator? The Lord, Kent and me. Walking hand in hand, so to speak just the three of us.

Kent and my life; walking in commitment that is held together by love in the Savior. Like walking with perseverance; True Love is hard work. Our walk in the proverbial is a collection of the need to keep the lines of communication clear. Oh we've had our ups and our downs. Ramblings. Theology provoking. Quiet~ stillness. Excitement. Contemplations. Decisions. Terms of endearments. Frustrations. True Love. Much like walking for many reasons takes effort so does the true love that comes with commitment, regardless of the elements.

Reading our daily reading together has brought a refreshing and a stretching of the heart strings after our walks together. Sometimes we begin our walk with talking with Abba, Father God, as ONE together focusing only on HIM. Other times we simply are still and quiet just taking in the breeze, allowing His kissing our face at the same time, as we walk with the Holy Spirit about us physically touching us in the wind. I love those mornings and evenings with Him. Other times we listen to Hadassah gibbering while the birds sing. Sometimes it ends with the moment to sit on our porch to relax in the spring like conditions surrounding us both in the morning and the evening. We sit or read, and we sip our coffee or a nice "cold" glass of; water, tea, soda, lemonade, or Kool-aid (when you have children around that is a staple sometimes) whichever sounds good for the moment.

When we finish our walk home, we walk into a new dimension and devote with one another by talking with The Lord and eating breakfast with him. It began in June these dates and walks, and this week it has continued at home. ;-) I enjoy these walking experiences. Reconnection's. Pondering the moments in my heart, and experience rejuvenation of the soul, heart, mind and soul. The walks remind me of our journey. Our life of faithfulness. For that I am thankful.

Top Ten spills

Spills since . . . well all of My Life; after the dinner table today. Not necessarily in order of sequence but of what I can remember after spilling "again" this afternoon while laughing with KENT!

10. The first time when I met Kent's family in the mid 80's - @ PIZZA HUT, my glass all over the table before we sat down and knocking over other glasses. (RUN AWAY NOW)!

9. The pitcher of Soda when we got our pizza, the same day as #10, after laughing about cleaning up my "glass spill" (Thought: Never return to PIZZA Hut with Klundt's or Knuckey's if they ever invite me to ILLINOIS again).

8. The Spill of Orange juice all over my lap in the MIDDLE seat flying on SW Airlines to Phoenix, AZ to stay with Family in Mesa (Again after jumping up and yelping from how cold it was desire to be the spokeswoman; "WANNA GET AWAY").
7. The Spill of a full SWEET TEA 32 oz all over the floor @ MCI airport picking up Mya, taking a picture of the 5 girls in front of Starbucks Sunday June 27 2010

6. The Salsa all over the table during lunch trying to clean it up with rubber spatulas! Friday July 2, 2010.

5. At the Castor Family's dinner table shaking the Italian Dressing without a lid. Ugghhh!
back in the late 70's.

4. The Sugar bowl all over the carpet when I opened the cupboard door: Tuesday June 29, 2010

3. The cake in the airport (Denver - Stapleton) when Mom was starting a New cake business! Can anyone "wanna get away?!"

2. A gallon of milk from the table after helping one of the girls clean up her sippy cup full of milk. "Well, have anyone else wanted to cry over spilt Milk?" nervous laughter turned crazy laughter after really wanting to cry.

1. Early 1970's spilling water ALL OVER THE BASEMENT from hanging on the Water pipes with Aunt Juanita and Lawrence, my younger brother("Ana DID IT")!!!

*** Oh I am sure some of you may remember "other spills" but you can enjoy a few laughs on my account since I tend to laugh at all the "spills" I have had!
oh my gosh, now I need to add a bonus recent one; the spill this week while with THE KLUNDTS' again, spill a bowl of milk at breakfast all over the counter and my lap and black shorts (YESTERDAY 7-12-10)

Oh Joy in a date

Oh the time to spend with special people and contemplate the ramifications of true joy make my heart flutter with anticipation to recall the memory of it all when it becomes my past. The day Mya returned from the Dominican Republic the tears finally flowed gently down my earth worn aged earned dermis. The salt mixture ebbed and flowed with a glimmer of a fond smile painted gently down my Spanish cheeks. My anticipation of getting Tia, Faith, Emily, Hadassah large drinks and upon almost arriving to MCI to pick up the other princess; we "quickly" stopped by the golden arches, and made another memory of joy and a date in our lives ~ the Girls giggled, drank, and made a "pit stop," if I may use the term lightly. My "gut feelings" told me we needed to leave quickly. After filling the gluttonous large cup with "Sweet tea" and plenty of ice for the missing princess' arrival we departed to the silver bullet tram carrying our family. Buckling up princess "Haddy" ~ a tingle, a song, A TEXT; "LANDED!!!" My fingers couldn't seem to connect with the electrodes firing in the brain turned mushed from read message! My heart pounded with emotion of Joy of the elation building trying to text back, to be the last off the plane, we're are almost there.

All five of us became giddy. Our date, REUNION, our sign showing we MISSED HER we wanted to be there when she stepped out of the terminal! Wait, Wait to come down the isle!
We arrived, parking spot so close we could almost have been on the landing strip, and very rapidly unloaded. Walking through the terminal hastily, we catch sight of her. Emily screams, "I SEE HER. THERE SHE IS ~ MY-MY!!!!!" They all take off at a run weaving in and out like a quilters fingers or a loom creating a tapestry - they meet, we all meet. Sweet return, embrace - Joy!

Excitement is filled in the corridors, PICTURES
(those of you who really KNOW me) as I stand a far and try to capture it all. The stroller wobbles, the five girls embrace, my finger fumbles to find the shutter key, focus ~ click, click, click~ captured joy, she's home, safe, warm, ebbed with change ~ "She's home" my heart releases the long anticipated embrace, the tears gently roll, my baby girl is HOME and embrace my other baby girls - we're together. I wish her daddy was here, but he is anticipating her up north.
Oh the joy of a date, the drive home, the stories, the inquiries, the details flow like a winding river. Turns, curves, straights; like a river flows her conversations of reminisces. Excitement, her past, our attention captivated to glean every word and savor them to connect our love for her life as it was. My eyes look into the review mirror, covered by the stylish toned sunglasses, and take in the scene that can NEVER be completely captured by the lenses of a high powered camera. The three older sisters cling to the seats, the baby/toddler giggles as if she totally understands the storytelling taking place and they ALL are smiling, laughing, conversing hanging on every word, like a cliff dweller anticipating the next steps masterfully with respect and adrenaline of what will come next. As my mind captures the scene, the tears fall smoothly, gently, and my vision sinks deep into the heart. A blink, my shutter speed vision takes the picture and puts it in the memory banks FOREVER - Oh the joy of this date - importable - a mothers breath - Home is in the heart, not a building but PEOPLE we call FAMILY!

Oh the joy in a date ~ and One day ~ He will cling to me in OUR REUNION also. ;-D

Emily asking her older sister.
